This newly renovated hotel is ideal for a larger family. It offers two-bedroom suites with spacious living rooms and full kitchens. The hotel is owned by the Inupiat, the Alaska Native tribe that governs the area, and they take great pride in the cleanliness of the facility. Kitchens include full refrigerator, dishwasher, oven/range, sink, microwave and a complete range of dishes and utensils. You can stock up on food at a grocery store two blocks from the hotel. A leather couch and recliner in the living room give you a comfortable place to watch the big flat-screen TV. Other amenities include blackout drapes, free Wi-Fi and goose-down bedding.
The Tukkumavik Suites is in the center of downtown, close to many shops and restaurants. Right next door is the highly regarded Northern Lights restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner daily. The Arctic Ocean is a block away. Start beachcombing at the iconic Whale Bone Arch, and keep an eye out for marine wildlife. Dip a toe or two in the ice-filled waters. Also nearby is the Inupiat Heritage Center, a museum that tells the story of the people who have lived in the area for more than 1,500 years. For its comfort, quality and size, the Tukkumavik Suites makes a great choice for your family adventure in Barrow.

Our stay there was indeed great, two bedrooms, really warm place, plenty of hot water. It was expensive, as it is everything in Barrow, but couldn´t imaging better place to stay there few days. WIFI is not reliable at all. There is an option to have paid WIFI with higher BW, but internet was enough to at least check emails. Easy check-in/out, and with all the facilities to cook there (as it is totally overpriced the market, recommend to take some food with you from wherever you fly from!!!).

This hotel looked brand new. I had rented two, two bedroom suites for me and my party of six. Rooms are as nice as the two bedroom suite at the Marriott Residence Inn. Rooms were very comfortable and warm. Washers and dryers are located on the first floor. Also their were no front desk people on duty, you are emailed a code for the lobby and one for your room. The full kitchen was very useful, we cooked diner and had all the essentials in the kitchen to make are experience a good one. I would stay here again. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
