This is hotel/brand concept that is offered in eight locations in the United States, with more locations planned for the future. The current camp sites are all located near U.S. national parks, including Yellowstone, Zion, Grand Canyon, Moab, Glacier, Great Smokey Mountains, and Mount Rushmore. Under Canvas allows families to immerse the group in the great outdoors without forgoing the comforts of home. Families will get to experience starry night skies, wild landscapes, healthy dining, and a luxurious private tent.
The safari-style canvas tents offer optional en suite bathrooms, king size beds, daily housekeeping, and wood-burning stoves. Nightly S’mores by the campfire, complimentary camp activities, and adventure bookings can be made right at camp and all serve to provide an unparalleled experience with a sense of profound connection to people and nature. A major brand emphasis is water conservation, reduced and reusable waste, solar power, zero waste-goals, a leave-no-trace philosophy and the opportunity for families to unplug.

Under Canvas Zion has thought of absolutely everything to make for an incredible glamping experience. The site was beautiful and peaceful. Our tent was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. It was the best night's sleep we had in quite some time. The staff were also very thoughtful and accommodating, exceeding our expectations in every way. Highly recommend!
We booked late in the game and could only get one night. It was the best sleep I got that week in Utah! The tents are private, set far apart from each other, and all face a beautiful valley and mountains. They are kept warm by the wood stove located inside the tent (what a great idea!) and the bedding is super comfortable (hypoallergenic is available on request). We left the front of the tent open (just the net in place) and in the morning could see the sun rising over the mountains. The tents don’t look as crisp and white as they do in website photos, but they are sitting out in the red rock dust, so a certain amount of wear and tear should be expected. They are in excellent shape though and set up very nicely inside as well. This is really excellent glamping, to be sure!
Our tent did not have a private bathroom (although those do exist!) but we found shared facility totally adequate - clean, well stocked and offering enough privacy.
The restaurant/common area/ reception are all located in a separate gigantic tent. There is a patio outside the restaurant where you can have meals or a drink. Restaurant serves food/drinks, and it was fine. Nothing stood out, but you won’t go hungry. The night we were there there was live music at dinner out on the patio and it was lovely to watch the sun set and relax out there while having dinner. Someone even got engaged that eve! The setting is certainly romantic!
I would definitely return or try another Under Canvas property.
