Families looking for a small hotel with luxury amenities and rooms accommodating families will love the Wakupunku Hotel Boutique. The hotel is located in the Historic Center of Cusco and within walking distance to attractions like the Pre-Columbian Art Museum, the Inca Museum and the Museum of Religious Art. Families will find the Loft Room and Senior Suite to be well suited for families as both rooms can accommodate up to three people. Amenities that the hotel provides for families include free Wi-Fi and free breakfasts. Extra beds are also available upon request. Guests can find dining options close to the hotel.

Great short stay

Perfect location, close to so many shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff, even opened breakfast early for us on our early check out day! Held our suitcases for us while we went up to Machu Picchu. Super cute, tiny hotel but has everything you need for a busy stay in Cusco.

It’s a little loud

Cute spot, huge comfortable bed, beautiful breakfast area and wonderful staff.

That being said, we had two real issues. This was our hotel after the classic Inca trail. So after four days on the trail we were really looking forward to a nice rest and hot shower.
Unfortunately when we got to the hotel, there was no hot water. Having to take a freezing cold shower after that trek, was a little rough. The good news, is that was fixed the next day. Once again, we had hot water the second day, so some sort of a water heater issue the first?

The other issue with this spot is their locating. It’s located in a fairly popular night life area so the ambient noise is a little loud. Good for some people to be close to the action, but for us, it would’ve be nice to be further away and quiet again.

Overall nice experience, but too loud as cold water the first night. 4 stars because we had hot water the second night.
