One of the largest hotels in Sitka, the Westmark features spacious rooms and suites with two queen beds and room for a crib or rollaway. Ask for a room with view of the harbor for spectacular views. While the plain decor could use an update, the beds are new and comfortable. Basic amenities include refrigerator, coffeemaker and free Wi-Fi. The hotel has two onsite restaurants. The Raven Dining Room is a popular option for fine dining, while the Kadataan Lounge is cheaper and more casual. There is no free breakfast at the Westmark.

The Westmark is located in the heart of downtown, less than 2 miles from the airport. It’s also right next to the waterfront, so it’s within easy walking distance of a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Family-friendly attractions, such as the Alaska Raptor Center and the Sitka National Historic Park, are less than a mile away. Kayaking is a popular activity, and you’ll find several guided tour companies nearby to help get you going.
