Located on a private beach on Sturgeon Bay, the Westwood Shores Waterfront Resort provides its guests with stunning views, spacious floor plans and an array of family-friendly amenities. All of the rooms and suites at the hotel feature fully equipped kitchens so that guests can easily prepare meals. Two-Bedroom Suites are able to accommodate families of six, while One-Bedroom Suites can sleep up to four guests. Family amenities at the resort include cribs, free Wi-Fi access, an in-room DVD player, an outdoor swimming pool and an indoor swimming pool. Attractions located within driving distance of the resort include the Depot Performing Arts Center, the Door County Historical Museum and Plum Loco Animal Farm.

Wonderful Waterfront Place

This was our fourth time staying here, so you know we are a fan. It offers 1 BR and 2BR suites with waterfront views from all, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, grills, and full kitchenettes. Our accommodation this time (suite 313) was less than stellar. Don’t get me wrong, the staff is friendly and amazing and daily housekeeping is wonderful. This suite needs improvement though. Although, it wasn’t terrible updates are needed particularly in the bathroom. Clearly water had leaked on the floor from the jetted tub/shower before and it also did during our stay (nothing major just inconvenient). Entire bathroom needs updating: flooring, shower curtain mirror, paint. Also the living room furniture was very stiff and less than comfortable. We did spend quite a bit of time in our suite since it was fall going on winter.The gas fireplace provided nice ambience. Not crazy about the floor plan with 2 VERY small balconies that fit 2 people max - one off the bedroom and a tiny one off the living room. The view from the living room huge window is gorgeous. Highly recommend this place, but not this suite. I booked online and heard you can request a specific suite, so it may be best to make a direct reservation. The place wasn’t exactly at full capacity in November and we stayed 3 nights, so can’t rate this stay higher. Wish I could...

We have been coming to Door County for many years and Westwood Shores Waterfront Resort is our favorite.

We love the waterfront views, it is close to downtown Sturgeon Bay for restaurant convenience, and quiet location away from crowds.

The staff is very friendly and they are easy to work with selecting dates for you visit and advising what types rooms are available when you want to stay.
