Set on the eastern coast of Kauai in the Coconut Plantation Resort area, Aston Islander offers six acres of gardens, palm trees and beachfront. The resort has about 200 air-conditioned guest rooms in eight-story buildings. Guest rooms feature private lanais, teak furnishings and mini-refrigerators. Most rooms have DVD players and are equipped with free wireless Internet. Select rooms offer quaint sitting and dining areas. Families can also stay in one-bedroom suites. These units accommodate up to four people comfortably. Outside, children can play in the pool, while parents keep a watchful eye in the hot tub. Across the street from the hotel, the Coconut Marketplace provides many local restaurants, shops and a movie theater. Typically, families can take advantage of special plans and discounts where kids eat and stay for free.

Great location in a calm area right at the beach. The area consist of several 3 floors bungalows in a green area which makes it nice and open.
The rooms was nice and clean with a small fridge and a nice coffee machine. We had a sofa bed for the kids, which was a bit hard.
The balcony is good for 2 people - but there is nowhere to hang the wet swimwear and you will be told off by a policeman if you use the railing (we know...).
The pool was nice but the jacuzzi was not too clean (probably because guests forget to shower before getting in...).
There is a great restaurant next to the hotel "Lava Lava" where you sit in the sand on the beach.
The parking is free - but you pay $20 in resort fee.
Nice place, beautiful grounds and shore. Lumpy mattress with no box spring , joke pillow.
Woody Allen described whistle shrieking water pipes as sounding like a small animal being tortured between the walls. Well ok. Management has to know, they aren’t going to fix these things. Then, and you can’t make this up. Last day of the stay a bug as big as your tallest finger , on the bedroom floor at mid day, doing a convincing impression of a cockroach. Really? At an Aston property? I presented it to the manager. A very brief, quit apology . That’s it. Checked out next morning. You have to have some minimum standards.
