This small, well-run place is going to make your reptile-loving children very happy — even if you squirm at the sight of snakes, lizards and oh no, even more snakes! Aquaworld was Crete’s first aquarium and displays both local sea life and reptiles from around the world.

There are hands-on exhibits for kids to get up close and personal with many animals that were rescued before finding a safe, loving home on Crete.
