For nearly 30 years, locals and visitors have enjoyed a summer night at Stone Mountain Park watching the Lasershow Spectacular. The 45-minute show set to a musical soundtrack is broadcast on the side of the mountain with the Memorial Carving in the background. While great fun for the entire family, the loud music and fireworks may be a bit much for younger ears, so be prepared. Also, because the show starts after dark, it usually begins around 9 p.m. local time; expect a late night with little ones due to exiting traffic following the show. Admission is free with paid parking at the park.
