Families who don’t want to paddle along the Mississippi River can opt for a leisurely narrated 90-minute sightseeing cruise instead. Padelford Riverboats run regular cruises along the Mississippi from Harriet Island Park June through August, with some additional spring and fall trips.

Specialty cruises may include sunset trips, brunch, a beer-and-bacon theme or Mother’s Day and Father’s Day brunches. Look for a family-oriented “boo cruise” near Halloween.

Admission
Tickets start at $8 per person for ages 2 and older and go up to $50 per adult for holiday brunch cruises.
