During winter for select dates, Stone Mountain welcomes Snow Mountain to the Great Lawn behind Memorial Hall. Families can join together for an adrenaline rush in a family raft on Avalanche Alley, or race one another down in the Tube Runners. In the SnowZone, smaller snow tubers can run their own race on the Little Angels and Penguin Run tubing runs. They also can build a snowman, play in the snow fort or practice throwing snow balls. Admission is $28 for adults and children. Children 2 and under are free.
Minimum height for Avalanche Alley is 36 inches tall, with a maximum of five riders per raft. Minimum height for Tube Runners is 42 inches tall. For the Little Angles run, maximum height is 42 inches, and the max height for the Penguin Run is 54 inches.
