These gardens are a brand new development, first begun in 2011 and completed in 2015. The 109-acre gardens feature 160 species of plants from Mediterranean climate regions of the world (which is the same climate as Ventura County), while working to restore the native California plants in the area. Its hiking trails with scenic overlooks of the coastline have received rave reviews, and the gardens continue to add new trails for guests to enjoy.
