The Witte Museum is an interactive, hands-on museum that promotes science and natural history with a number of exhibitions, collections and programs. Kids can get their hands wet and explore the life found in the San Antonio River in the River Alive! touch tank. They can also dress like a cowboy, learn how to use ropes, learn about their health and enjoy live, short, educational performances throughout the day. The museum is open daily, with the exception of Christmas, Thanksgiving and the third Monday in October. It’s main hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., staying open until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, and opening at noon on Sundays.
