The Beach Roadhouse is ideal for a family stay in Haines. You can choose either a spacious hotel room, with kitchenette, or a large cabin with full kitchen. For a large family, pick their Cozy Creek Family Cabin, which can sleep up to five people. The kitchen includes a full-sized refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, dishes and utensils. The cabin puts you in a quiet wooded setting, just minutes away from a pebble beach where kids can explore and play.

The Roadhouse is located about a mile south of the Skagway-Haines fast ferry terminal. Haines is a small town, where shops and restaurants are easy to locate. You’ll also find any number of tour guides nearby, offering access to hiking, wildlife and glacier adventures. A few minutes from the Beach Roadhouse is the Battery Point path, an easy mile-long hiking trail. With its family-friendly cabins and beautiful location, the Beach Roadhouse is a great place to stay during your Haines vacation.

The best, nicest and moderately priced place in Haines

We thought staying in the center of town is a mistake. Lately, there are more cruise ships stopping in Haines. If you are looking for experiencing the magic of this amazing community, then head off a mile out of town to the Beach Roadhouse. Their cabins are spotlessly clean, spacious, amazingly comfortable and with all the necessary amenities. On top of that, the wifi is strong. Amber is a wonderful and accommodating host and the location is magical. If you do not have a car and arrive by ferry, Amber will pick you up and drop you off, and she will also rent her car by the day at a very reasonable price. The starting point for the Battery Point walking trail is just a 5 minute walk down the road. We regretted not staying longer and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!!

My mother and I were travelling together and arrived at the Beach Roadhouse expecting to stay one night, but liked it so much we ended up staying three! Todd, Amber, and there dog Chitina were great Hosts! They let us use bikes and paddleboardd and gave us great information about the hooligan run, which was awesome!
