A great room option for families is the two queen suite, which is essentially a standard guest room plus an expanded living area that includes a sofa bed. Use the in-suite microwave and refrigerator for snacks and drinks, and browse the web using the complimentary wireless Internet. When the need for a warm beverage strikes, use the coffee/tea maker to prepare one.

Feeding the kids is easy each morning thanks to the free full breakfast, which features hot waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and more — you can eat indoors, or outside if the weather is nice. And when you’re not swimming at the beach (which is right across the street), hop into the refreshing outdoor pool or sunbathe on a lounge chair.

Prosl and cons

Pros: great location, clean, good-sized room with easy chair, nice layout, well-maintained. Cozy bedding.
Cons: I could not get the wall heater fan to turn off, so it ran all night, a bit noisy.
Nice breakfast but VERY LOUD TV. I believe the desk clerk, Cheryl, wanted to hear the TV so she turned it up loud. I asked her to turn it down, but no response. So our breakfast was ruined by about 12 loud non-stop TV ads. Breakfast room is small, so no escape, but several guests went outside to eat breakfast. Not a peaceful way to start the day.
I wish motels would turn the breakfast room TV off, or just the Weather Channel on mute.

Great night before our cruise from Galveston

We stayed here a night before a cruise. The room were nice. The place is great. We took their transportation to our cruise. There may be some hotels closer but this was fine. The transportation is round trip which we didn't expect - we only went 1 way. After our cruise we headed out but they would have picked after the cruise and taken us back to the hotel. Our driver was very friendly. The breakfast was great. Breakfast was a little crowded but I didn't mind. There was a wait if you wanted a hot waffle but if you were in a hurry, you could run in and grab something to eat and then head out. The shore was fun to walk long, We didn't get in the water here.
