The Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, State College (Penn State Area) is located just 2 miles from Penn State University. It’s also close to University Park Airport, with free shuttle services provided by the hotel; complimentary shuttle services are available to downtown State College, too.

Other complimentary perks include an indoor pool, fitness center, hot breakfast daily, parking and Wi-Fi. Wednesday through Friday, evening socials with complimentary appetizers and drinks are hosted. There are complimentary cookies, coffee and tea in the lobby each day, too.

Families should opt for a One-Bedroom Suite, with a king bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area. All rooms come with mini-fridges, microwaves and coffeemakers. Cribs and rollaway beds are available.

Should you need to do laundry, there’s a coin-operated laundry facility onsite. The hotel also has two Tesla charging stations.

Another great stay

This hotel is great. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. When traveling alone on business, I always feel very safe here. The rooms are clean and very nice. Overall, a great place to stay. I will be back again, I’m sure.

I had an excellent stay with a clean room and no problems with noise, cleanliness, or anything of the sort. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for someone to stay in the area!
