Families staying at the Flamingo Waterpark Resort in Kissimmee may never make it to the theme parks in nearby Orlando. The resort offers guests 245 guestrooms, all within steps of the onsite water park. Guestroom amenities include one king bed or two queen beds, a microwave, mini-fridge, coffeemaker, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Complimentary cribs are available upon request, too.

The onsite water park is open to guests of the hotel only, and costs an additional $8 per person, per day. Children, teens and parents will love the waterslides, pool areas, play zones, lazy river, hot tub and large lounge pool. There is also a separate area just for toddlers. The resort provides towels and chairs, and snacks and refreshments are available for purchase at the water park. When you’ve had enough of the water, head to the game room for air hockey, video games, crane machines and more. There is also a small playground outside for children.

Although fun can be had at the resort alone, families who may want to visit area attractions are in luck. Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort are located just 20 minutes from the resort.

There is no restaurant outside the water park at the hotel, but an inexpensive, continental breakfast is offered daily from 7 to 11 a.m. in the lobby. Additional resort amenities include free onsite parking, a business center and a fitness room.
