This PEI upscale hotel offers families an elegant stay in one of its four restored heritage buildings featuring 50 guestrooms and four luxury condos. Unique extras include a daily historical walking tour at 4 p.m., a daily guest reception that includes complimentary wine and craft beer, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, children’s goodie baskets, board games and a DVD library. The hotel also offers complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi and parking, 24/7 complimentary coffee/tea and treats and a fitness room. Room configurations come in Traditional options with one queen, one king, or two double beds (connecting rooms available) and also one-room suites with a spa tub. Free cribs are available upon request. The great George also offers a variety of efficiency units with kitchenettes and living rooms geared for family groups. Prices are based on double occupancy (extra fee for children over age 2).

Home away from home, but nicer!

After staying at the Great George Hotel, other hotels seem so basic and bland. We stayed in a lovely little guesthouse on the top floor. It was very spacious, modern and comfortable. The heated bathroom floor was a nice surprise and a real treat for the toes! The main hotel lobby hosted a daily complimentary breakfast buffet with a wide variety of delicious food choices. I was very happy with our choice to spend our stay in PEI at the Great George Hotel.

The staff at this hotel is just amazing. The location is perfect and the hotel has got it's share of charm and character. Room are specious and all have a special decor. It's the kind of place you want to got back to. I recommend it warmly.
