Located equidistant between the south end of Lake Union and the famed Space Needle and impressive Experience Music Project (EMP) museum, this downtown Seattle Hampton Inn and Suites is everything you want and expect from the hotel chain admired by frequent travelers. Three styles of suites will suit most any family, with multiple bedrooms and/or a sleeper sofa, as well as balcony, living room, fully equipped kitchen, coffeemaker, a pair of TVs, and of course, free Wi-Fi. For families not in need of a kitchen or the extra space as the extra cost, there are rooms with two queen beds and all the standard hotel amenities. Guests will love to save money in the morning with the free hot Hampton Inn breakfast daily and appreciate the coin-operated washers and dryers onsite.

Great value and family location. 10min walk to seattle kids musuem and the seattle center. Bus lines nearby. Nice clean rooms, good breakfast with coffee, juice, yogurt, eggs, sausage and other goodies. I went with a three year old and it was perfect.
In comparison with the other Hilton chain, this hotel's location, layout (took me 5 mins to find the elevator without clear signs) and service.
We had a fire alarm at 4 am as someone ran into the hotel and pulled it so I reduce a star for that safety. Glad it was the fire alarm and understand it could have happened at any hotel but the doors would be locked and open to only the card holding residents etc.
The elevators are hidden in maze and if you go too far you get into the other side of the building which has a few residence suites and a different elevator. Lack of clear signs another half star down.
The bathroom showers are not high power and take 10 seconds to get hot water. So another half down.
I can hear the upstairs water or neighbors clearly through the walls and ceilings so another star down. The hotel did not have laundry bags in the room and I could not request it and had to pick it up from reception. Not a big deal but service that I would expect at Hilton based on previous experiences.
The positives are a bed that is comfortable and free breakfast value for money. If I come here for sight seeing on a budget I would stay here again if I don't get anything else. Four points Sheraton is a block away and the grocery store that is open 24 hours is a block away too. All good adding to the two stars. The hotel also gives 1000 pts for a green program if you decline room service and cookies every evening
