The Marqueen comes recommended more for location than for kid-friendly amenities per se; for example, the lack of an elevator, and first floor rooms that share a corridor with the local retail stores, could present some issues for folks with young children. The lower Queen Anne location is exceptional, however, with the Seattle Center just a short walk away; a Dick’s Restaurant, Pagliacci Pizza and a great Mexican restaurant right across the street; and the stellar Easy Street Records, which in my experience has not one bad CD in the store, right around the corner. For the strong-legged like our boy, the Kerry Viewpoint is right up the hill. Avoid the first floor rooms in the back of the hotel, which look out into the bottom of an airshaft.

VERY noisy air con, couldn't sleep, wanted to like.. but left disappointed

Spent two nights here in September with 2 adults, 2 kids in 2 queen suite. Booked via Agoda for $US350 for 2 nights. Check in was VERY slow at 10.15pm and thankfully no one in front of us and with 2 kids and late night, just wanted to go to bed.
Service staff friendly.

Room - great size with a sitting room, seperate kitchen area and a bathroom. Beds comfortable. However, the bathroom was rather dirty (just from being old) and small.

The worst part though was the noise ALL night from the air conditioner or the boiler room attached.. every 20 mins or so a loud bang and things turning on and off. Was really hard to sleep and made me glad to leave.

I really wanted to like this place with its character but felt disappointed and tired. Felt a bit like in American Horror Story building but that was sort of cool! Location good, bellman excellent.

Loved Seattle though, space needle, Chuhuly glass gallary, Modern pop museum all excellent. Love to return one day but at a different hotel so i can sleep.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and willing to help out with info on places to visit. Andrew (the bellman) was over the top friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was spacious and the kitchen was a great place to seat and have a meal. Good location, close to everything....by foot or bus.
