The Barcelo Ixtapa is a great resort but do not count on the $500 resort "discount". It's a three to five dollar discount on extra services which renders it virtually useless. No one at the concierge desk seems to know how it works. This complete and utter lack of accuracy permeates this false marketing ploy. That being said, the staff is friendly and kind. I do not want this to deter you from staying here but more as a heads up that the $500 "discount" is BS.

We had the best experience! The food was fantastic, the bar , the entertainment phenomenal the vibe was on point !! All the staff was friendly and helpful. We plan to visit again in 2020 with a bigger group !!
