The recently renovated downtown boutique Hotel Indigo, a member of IHG Rewards Club, features a six-story atrium, fitness center, indoor pool, spa facilities and free Wi-Fi. The onsite restaurant, Phi Bistro and bar, serves breakfast and dinner. Also find car rentals onsite. The 106 room options offer standard Two Queen Bed, Two Double, or One King options and don’t feature any one-bedroom suites or other choices for families. If you upgrade, the booking include complimentary breakfast. Children 17 and younger stay free. Free cribs and connecting rooms are available. Rollaways and parking are also available for a fee. Mini-fridges are available on request. Located in Ottawa’s city center, families can take advantage of the access to urban attractions. Walk to Rideau Canal, Elgin Street’s eateries and shopping, the National Arts Centre, Parliament Hill and tourist attractions like hop-on, hop-off bus tours. Families will also find local parks and outdoor malls.

Best personable, hotel experience in Ottawa

Amazing location in downtown Ottawa; we can't understand how a top notch hotel like this is considered a 3.5 star instead of 4 star. it doesn't present itself as a 3.5 star...Choosing this hotel over many others came down to highly personable approach of Metcalfe's staff. So polite, knowledgeable and accommodating. Rachel and Fiona were really good and both went the extra mile to look out for our reservation (along with putting in our special requests) and offering to make a reservation at an external restaurant, respectively. We loved the hotel decor, including the well-appointed room. Everything was clean and fresh-looking and smelling. Any future visits to this city will automatically include a stay at this hotel and no other. We are already looking forward to it.

Excellent Ottawa location

A great combination of price, downtown location and the lobby image made me select the Metcalf. Desk staff were excellent in navigating and recommending places to eat. The staff pumpkin carving contest in the lobby was icing.
