Located in Times Square, The Knickerbocker Hotel is a luxury hotel near Macy’s, the High Line, Madame Tussaud’s, Central Park and the Empire State Building. Guests looking for a bit of green space can walk to Bryant Park, just 650 feet away. The New York Public Library is three minutes’ walk away, and the hotel is located directly above the Times Square-42nd Street Metro Station, offering easy access to the whole city.

All 330 soundproofed rooms provide free Wi-Fi, free wired internet and tablet computers. Flat-screen TVs with cable channels and DVD players provide a bit of entertainment, and guests will also find comforts like pillowtop beds and Egyptian cotton sheets. Many rooms feature views of the city, and the en-suite bathroom comes with slippers, free toiletries and a hairdryer.

The hotel features a rooftop terrace and onsite dining at Charlie Palmer at the Knick. Babysitting or childcare is available. Rollaway beds and cribs are available for a fee. Dry cleaning and laundry service are available.

We generally found the Knickerbocker a real disappointment. Both our room and hall had carpeting that was really worn out and it just didn't feel clean. There was not a coffee maker in the room and it was a real effort to get one as no one at the front desk was available to answer the phone. I actually had to go down to the Concierge to get help. We also were awoken by very noisy room service clerks both mornings. I would expect a bit more sensitivity to noise at 7am. When we shared our disappointment the front desk clerk suggested that we post the details on Trip Advisor because she said that the internal complaint system didn't work very well. It really felt like a 3 Star vs a 5 Star hotel and we will not go back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the knickerbocker. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The service was great and I would definitely recommend the it to anyone visiting New York City.
