The Marriott Vacation Club Pulse is a short walk to the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Times Square and Bryant Park. Families with teenagers will love access to shops they love such as Apple, Tiffany & Co, H&M, Prada, Macy’s and Nike. It features an onsite restaurant, rooftop bar and rooms with free Wi-Fi. The hotel also offers tour and ticket assistance.

Marriott Vacation Club, New York City provides contemporary rooms with a flat-screen cable TV with free HBO and Showtime, as well as iPod docks. Each room has a safety deposit box and mahogany furniture. Coffeemakers are available upon request. Rooms on higher floors boast balconies with sweeping city views. All rooms offer 4-star touches like bathrobes and rainfall showers, and CondÃ© Nast prints add a vintage touch to the room decor. Laundry service is available.

Kids are under 11 years old stay free when using existing bedding and cribs are available for infants.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous, Justin was especially helpful and very nice when the rooftop was closed for a private event. Room was always clean, and staff made the extra bed up for us every night.

I wasn’t impressed

I was rather underwhelmed with my three-night stay. While the rooftop bar offered a great view of the Empire State Building, the atmosphere was noisy and the service was horrible. After sitting 20 minutes without service even when it wasn’t at all busy, I gave up and left. The room was extremely hot and all they did to fix it was to turn the thermostat off and on again. I won’t return.
