Overpriced, disappointing

by Anie M

Four girls for memorial day week-end. The room was very small, cramped and "vintage" (lots of wear and tear), Breakfast was very ordinary (eggs too dry, fruits with no savor at all, horrible coffee) .
The concierge was not very helpful. We asked how to reach The Cloister museum, and purchase our tickets. Directions were so messed up, it took us 2 hours to go there and the museum did not acknowledge our tickets at first. It took us another 30-45 minutes to finally get inside. Overall, location is good but next time, we will go elsewhere.

Convenient location

by andrewleehl

The New York Marriott East Side is located in a convenient location with eateries all around so getting food is not a problem. The subway is nearby. It is not right in the heart of the Broadway area so it is not jam-packed with crowds the whole day. Good for those who like hotels within walking distance from popular tourist spots but which offer a little more peace and quiet at the same time.
Rooms look a little dated though and one of the elevators seemed to have a mind of its own, refusing to open at the lobby level several times during my stay there. Those of us in the elevator ended up returning to the room levels and then going down again.
