Formerly the Diplomatic Hotel Barcelona, this Renaissance property is located within steps of Barcelona’s vibrant Las Ramblas neighborhood, as well as the iconic Sagrada Familia, A Marriott brand property, guests can enjoy the comforts of home in the heart of Barcelona, with oversized bathrooms, American-style beds and bedding, as well as small refrigerators and flat-screen televisions. Onsite dining is available at the hotel’s CUIT Restaurant, and a rooftop bar, La Terrassa, provides panoramic views of the city. Standard guest rooms provide only a queen bed, so families will need to book connecting rooms or if traveling with little ones, one of the two suites with a king bed and a living room. Executive rooms feature king, queen or two twin beds, perfect for families wanting to book a king bed and two twins for kids and requesting a connection to create a one-bedroom suite. Traditional European breakfast is available at an additional fee. Wi-Fi is available.

Great hotel great staff

Had a great experience! Inform the hotel in advance that I am travelling with family and a toddler! Was assign room next to each other. Belldesk staff dani was so proactive made my son happy with some toy watches, very grateful. Experience was superb from front desk all to houskeeping.

A Great Location and Friendly Staffers

The Renaissance Hotel Barcelona with 211 rooms was established in 1981, and is a good location with many nearby restaurants, shopping stores, and sightseeing (e.g., CASA Batllo Gaudi), etc. It took about $8 euro from the hotel to La Sagrada Familia - A Must-See Place if you visit Barcelona.

From a Cruise terminal (or a port) to the hotel, the taxi fee is 25 Euro, but any luggages and toll fee will be applied as additional charges.

A BarcelonaBusTuristic runs every 10 -20 minutes with FreeWiFi. A nearby bus station (CASA BATLLO) that is only one block away from the hotel starts at 09:06 a.m. until 19:05 daily.

The breakfast buffet at 24 Euro is very good with many variety of items. Neither the Marriott M Club nor swimming pool/SPA is available at this hotel.

Staff are friendly and services are very good. I will rate this hotel 4.5 in comparison to London Heathrow Marriott Hotel I stayed recently.
