Want to spend the night in the dark forests of the Fairy Tale Road? Take a side trip to the Schaumburger Ritter Hotel, 20 minutes from the Pied Piper town of Hameln. Located directly across the street from an old castle, it’s also at the foot of a hiking trail into the forest. The Schaumburger Ritter has free Internet, pine wood armoires, flat-screen TV’s and a world-class restaurant that serves an incredible complimentary buffet breakfast. Unlike many hotels in Germany (and Europe), Schaumburger Ritter also has larger rooms with sleeper sofas that can accommodate families of up to five.

Went for lunch with friends on a Saturday, the place was deserted only one other couple was present .The service was unfriendly and the lunch was absolutely terrible. I can’t really recommend the place although the setting is quite beautiful.May be it was on a bad day.
This is a lovely located hotel and the staff, especially the owner was saved my day. En route to this hotel, my car got stuck in the snow. I called the hotel and I was picked up and safely brought to the hotel. So kind! I enjoyed my stay there, the food in the restaurant was quite good. Also breakfast was formidable. I would highly recommend this hotel and its restaurant. A gem. I will certainly return.
