When it comes to accommodations near Sesame Place, you can’t get any closer than the Springhill Suites Philadelphia Langhorne — it’s located catty-corner from the park, barely separated by a road. In fact, the park is accessible by a walkway from the hotel.
While the location is an easy sell in itself, however, the hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast with hot items on which to fuel up before a day at the park, along with a swimming pool, in which you can cool down upon your return. It also offers a kids’ activity room (housed in the conference room) during peak season, so youngsters have a relaxing place of their own, complete with movies, toys, games and books.
Additionally, the hotel, which opened in 2012, features the area’s most modern accommodations (some which sleep six or seven guests), along with a vibrant lobby lounge (as any hotel this close to Sesame Place should, of course).

The hotel's accommodation options are simple, with subtle accents of color, yet perfect for families; they include 91 units in two different styles (some of which are handicap accessible or have connecting capabilities). All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, as well.
These units sleep up to four guests in a king bed and a sofa bed; both are separated by a wall. They also offer shower-in-tub combinations in bathrooms, mini-fridges, microwaves and coffee makers. While cribs and rollaway beds are available at no additional charge, we don't suggest them for King Rooms.
As the name suggests, these accommodations offer two queen beds, plus a sofa bed (again separated by a wall), sleeping up to six guests (potentially a seventh with the use of a rollaway bed or crib). Guests enjoy mini-fridges, microwaves and coffee makers, along with bathrooms that offer shower-in-tub combinations.
We stayed here for the Seasame Place Halloween visit, becaysevit was close to the park (walking distance), but will probably choose the hotel we stayed at before and take the short van ride. There is a $16 parking fee per night. The hotel itself was ok. It could have been a little cleaner, especially the carpets in the room. It appears if they are trying to keep everything up and tidy, but could do a little better. The breakfast options were just ok, as I have had better.

Before you even think about booking this hotel, take the time to read all of the one star reviews and the manager’s responses. Save your money and drive a little bit. It may be close to Sesame but this place is a hot mess. They “strive” for the bare minimum.
It’s like you are camping and you have to get your own supplies. It’s dirty. It’s desolate. You arrive and you’ll be told “We are understaffed.”
The hotel is right next to Sesame Place, which can be accessed via an exclusive walkway for guests. When you need a break from all the action, however, the hotel offers a few down-time options for families.
The hotel offers a small, indoor pool, which reaches 5 feet in depth. It is handicap-accessible, though it isn't manned by lifeguards. Next to the pool is a hot tub, available to guests who are 16 or older. The pool is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. (just don't tell the kids).
During peak season, the hotel's conference room is turned into a play area for little ones, complete with games, toys and books. A wall-mounted, flat-screen TV plays movies, too. The room is accessible between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. daily.
The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m., and includes a selection of hot items, such as eggs, sausage and make-your-own waffles, plus cereal, breads and fruit. High chairs and booster seats are available in the modern dining area, furnished in funky hues of lime green, fuchsia and teal; it is located adjacent to the lobby. There are no onsite dining options for lunch or dinner.
Since the hotel is situated next to Oxford Valley Mall and near many shopping centers, plenty of options (mostly chains) are within walking distance or short driving distance, too. They include Olive Garden, Bertucci's, TGI Fridays and Miller's Ale House, a local chain.

All About the Extras
Located near the pool area, a small fitness center offers treadmills, elliptical machines and free weights, and is open 24 hours a day.
A small laundry room, located on the first floor, offers a washer and dryer; laundry detergent is available at the front desk.
If you've forgotten a toothbrush or are looking for a late-night snack, you'll find both at a small convenience store, located in the lobby.

The Art of Smart Timing
While Sesame Place is open May through December, the park's high season -- June through August -- coincides with rates and capacity at Springhill Suites Philadelphia Langhorne. Consider visiting in May or September to avoid high hotel rates and long park lines. Also consider visiting for The Count's Halloween Spooktacular or A Very Furry Christmas.
Fly into Philadelphia International Airport, serviced by most major airlines, and rent a car. From the airport, Springhill Suites Philadelphia Langhorne is a direct shot up I-95 (40 minutes or so), via Exit 46A. Merge on to U.S. 1 North (Morrisville).
Another airport option is Trenton-Mercer Airport, which is 15 minutes from the hotel and Sesame Place, though only serviced by a few carriers.
Whether you're traveling from Philly or another destination, look for signs for Oxford Valley, and be aware that the roads (specifically U.S. 1) surrounding the hotel and Sesame Place are notoriously busy.
Once at the hotel, complimentary self-parking is available, though you'll likely be required to use valet (also complimentary between Memorial Day and Labor Day; tip suggested); the parking lot fills up quickly.
It'll take just 5 minutes to walk from Springhill Suites Philadelphia Langhorne to Sesame Place. If you're planning to visit other areas of Bucks County or nearby Philadelphia, you'll need a car to get around.
For Mom and Dad
If you want to stay close to the hotel, head to Arirang Hibachi Steakhouse and Sushi Bar -- it's one of the best hibachi restaurants we've encountered in our travels. If you're able to travel further afield, however, treat yourself to an evening in New Hope, where charming shops, restaurants and scenery await.
