A quick stroll downhill from the train station, where you arrive in Aguas Calientes, and just steps from where the busses leave for Machu Picchu, this friendly hotel is a great base. You can ask for cooking demonstrations for the family to learn to prepare Peruvian ceviche. And the onsite restaurant has traditional food, as well as Western eats. Most of the spacious rooms have balconies overlooking the rushing river. You can easily walk to all the restaurants and attractions of town from here, too.

A wonderful hotel and super convenient for matchu Picchu visitors

We stayed at this lovely hotel as a family . I rarely write review and give 5 star for cleanliness but this hotel deserve such rating . Staff were polite and welcoming ! They helped us carrying our luggages to train station ! Buscstop from Matchu pitcchu drop you at the door of hotel .You are at walking distance to restaurants and shops but hotel has an amazing chef and breakfast buffet was so good and complete ! They had special kids breakfast and ceviche and pisco class for adults which was fun ! I highly recommend Sumaq hotel !

Great hotel in the best location

I loved this hotel located near the bus stops to Machu Picchu. The rooms and views were awsome and the food was the best I had on my whole trip. Great service and room service as well. I would recommend this to anyone.
