Louisiana Children’s Museum

420 Julia Street, New Orleans, 70130, LA

Children will get an interactive, hands-on learning experience at the Louisiana Children’s Museum, which aims to teach children in fun and engaging ways during the most important years of their intellectual development. Exhibits such as “Body Works,” “Simple Machines,” and “Safety Zone,” and so many more, teach children about everyday topics through physical activities. Climb a rock wall, practice dialing 911 or hoist yourself up on a pulley. The museum hosts events often, such as the Children’s World’s Fair where they can travel around the world without leaving New Orleans, so be sure to check the museum’s calendar. Admission is $8.50 per person for adults and children. The museum is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays during the fall, winter and spring months. Summer hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
