North of downtown Lake Union, just four blocks from the University of Washington campus and the hip Seattle neighborhoods of Fremont and Ballard, is this modern hotel perfect for families looking for a unique environment to stay during their time spent in Seattle. Studio suites with a pair of queen beds will fit most families of three or four comfortably, and in those rooms you’ll find a Keurig, microwave and mini-refrigerator, free bottled water, free Wi-Fi, seersucker bathrobes and slippers that you can take home with you to remember your stay and a large umbrella for rainy Seattle days. All guests will enjoy complimentary shuttle service to downtown and/or the opportunity to take one of the complimentary bicycles out for a spin around the neighborhood. Each afternoon, you and your kids will be treated to the University Inn’s signature pineapple cupcakes and local coffee and you’ll have use of the sister property’s seasonal outdoor pool.

Room warm, noisy and small

by eamasi

Room was very warm even with heat off. Had to open a window to cool down but source of heat seemed to be the hall so it was too warm all night to get a good sleep. Bath fan was also noisy and needs to be repaired/replaced. Room was a bit small and only had one chair. On the other hand the front desk personnel were excellent.

Who knew....hidden gem in the heart of U District

by RockinHeather

I was presently surprised with this hotel. I travel a LOT for work as well as personal and am all about the bed, the amenities (real creamer for your first cup of coffee, excellent hand soap, a robe, slippers and a safe - could have had a nicer blow dryer) and more importantly the cleanliness. The bedding is funky with two comforters, one for each side of the bed, yet they are large enough to overlap and heavy enough you stayed covered and cozy. This hotel hit on all marks and is in an excellent location to get around the U district easily. My only real issue while staying was you could hear the people in the room above me stomping around, yet they may have only been walking.
